About Engagement Strategies of Oregon
Engagement Strategies of Oregon was founded in 2024 by Paige Barton, who has developed a unique set of skills throughout her professional journey.
In her current role as a labor representative, Paige has learned to effectively combine escalating campaigns with strategic messaging to win public support and secure fair collective bargaining agreements for Oregon's working families.
Paige's career began as a prosecution legal assistant. Her meticulous work was crucial in sentencing felony defendants and obtaining restitution judgments for Oregon's crime victims. This experience has equipped Paige with a keen eye for detail, and understanding of our state's laws and administrative rules.
Our communities can fail to recognize how important the work of local government is until it fails to function or serve properly. Nonpartisan local government seats have been increasingly won by divisive, partisan figures during periods of low voter turnout. With extreme leadership, Oregonians are seeing fiscal mismanagement, an increase in litigation for local government, and failure to adequately provide core services that communities throughout our state rely on.
As a public sector labor representative, Paige saw first-hand how critical local elections are. Seeing these detrimental and extreme changes to local government motivated Paige to become an engaged volunteer, lending her varied skillset to local campaigns.
With her professional experience with interest-based negotiation styles and strategic communications, Paige uniquely understands how to identify issues with broad support and build engagement that transcends party lines.
